Need for greater investments in safety and security
More than two-thirds( 68 %) of leaders in Mexico and 71 % globally report that they frequently hear feedback from workers about the need for greater investments in safety or security.
In fact,‘ improved emergency response protocols’ is the number one request leaders hear from workers regarding safety.
But only 30 % of Mexican organisations are currently using remote / automatic vehicle immobilisation and only 36 % use panic or emergency buttons for drivers to get immediate assistance.
Mexican leaders are fully aware of these challenges and are committed to addressing them, with 71 % planning to make moderate or significant investments in technologies to improve workforce safety and security in the next five years, compared to the global average of 68 %.
Many of the world’ s industry leaders prioritise IoT-enabled security devices, automation that reduces worker exposure to risk and predictive security analytics.
Modern technology tools are a must-have for the workforce
Nearly three-quarters( 74 %) of leaders in Mexico and 85 % globally agree that modern technological tools have made their industries more attractive to younger workers.
