Bentley Systems empowers transportation maintenance innovation with Blyncsy ’ s AI acquisition

B entley Systems , the infrastructure engineering software company , has announced the acquisition of Blyncsy , a provider of Artificial Intelligence services for departments of transportation to support operations and maintenance activities . The digital twin ecosystem focus of Bentley ’ s iTwin Ventures portfolio is bolstered by accelerating the development and propagation of broadly valuable infrastructure asset analytics .

Blyncsy applies computer vision and AI in analysing commonly available imagery to identify maintenance issues on roadway networks . It ’ s founder originally conceived
the idea for the company while stuck at a traffic light , believing there had to be ways to combine real-time condition data and innovative technologies to help DoTs become more efficient .
Blyncsy ’ s disruptive AI services replace costly and slow manual data collection efforts , reducing the need for personnel or specialised vehicles or hardware in the field and improving transportation owneroperators ’ awareness and timely mitigation of road conditions .
Bentley ’ s iTwin Ventures Managing Executive , Mike Schellhase , said : “ We were so convinced of the significance of their [ Blyncsy ] breakthrough that we undertook its outright acquisition , in order to scale it rapidly and pervasively . We expect investments in widespread asset analytics to accelerate leveraging infrastructure digital twins .”

FreeWire launches an AI-Enabled platform to optimise the deployment of EV charging infrastructure

F reeWire Technologies , the leading provider of batteryintegrated electric vehicle ( EV ) charging stations and energy management solutions , has announced the launch of Mobilyze Pro .

The AI-enabled platform is designed to provide accurate predictions to expand nationwide EV charging infrastructure efficiently and profitably , across the US and Canada .
The platform ' s new tools , including a utilisation prediction engine , a tariff recommendation engine and a profitability calculator , leverage AI to parse through public and proprietary datasets to predict the best locations to deploy EV fast charging . in the US by 2030 . The gap between EV sales and the infrastructure needed to support them is projected to widen with time . This gap is being exacerbated by long lead times for utility upgrades , making battery-integrated charging the quickest and most cost-effective solution . Mobilyze Pro is designed to help site hosts meet this rapidly growing demand for charging infrastructure by providing accurate utilisation and profitability forecasts .
Arcady Sosinov , CEO and Founder of FreeWire said : " The platform uses AI to make highly accurate predictions and optimise project economics , making EV fast charging more ubiquitous and more accessible to the public ."
Over 180,000 public fast charging stations will be required to support 26 million EVs
