Mappable launches Neurogeocoder API to revolutionise mapping solutions for UAE businesses

M appable , a global company that brings powerful and highly customisable mapping solutions to the local markets , announces the launch of its new product – the Neurogeocoder API , which is now available to all clients in the UAE .

The Neurogeocoder API , powered by Machine Learning and AI , is a game-changer in geospatial solutions , particularly in light of the projected 14.2 % CAGR growth of the global digital map market by 2030 . Unlike standard geocoders with fixed algorithms set by the development team , Neurogeocoder ’ s adaptive nature ensures precise results , even with unstructured location queries containing errors or typos . This advanced tool allows for the seamless display of user-entered addresses on maps and facilitates the transformation of map points into detailed street addresses , ensuring precise and reliable location results . By recognising local expressions for districts , towers and roads , the Neurogeocoder effectively links them to specific addresses or points , a feat beyond the capabilities of standard geocoders .
The Neurogeocoder API is a powerful tool for various industries , including e-commerce , real estate , food-tech , ridetech and logistics . It helps quickly translate large address volumes into coordinates and vice versa , as well as process intricate or locally specific location queries for different business scenarios .
For real estate companies , the tool can accurately showcase property locations , helping potential buyers visualise the surroundings to make informed decisions when considering a purchase . For logistics services , the API optimises operations by providing accurate addresses to managers for better cost estimation of deliveries ,

More workers alone won ’ t fix UK construction industry – it rapidly needs to adopt new tech

D ata from recruitment company Randstad showed that the construction labour force has shrunk from 2.6 million people in 2008 to 2.1 million in 2023 . The industry will need to hire as many as half a million additional people over the coming years . To make matters worse , this year will see

megaprojects such as nuclear plant Hinkley C and HS2 rail stretch the workforce thinner still .
However , throwing more workers at this problem alone is not a magic fix . Construction , generally an industry which is notoriously slow to adopt new technologies , will need to digitally transform and adopt new tech to boost productivity and safety , which will both have positive impacts on worker hiring and retention .
Chris Wilson , Senior Sales Director ( UK & Ireland ) at Trimble , said : “ With an ageing workforce and an ever-growing list of increasingly important construction projects , many developed countries are finding it tough to keep up with the demand . This is one structural barrier for the industry to tackle – another , just as important , is its approach to new technologies .
“ While many industries are rapidly modernising , there are still some UK contractors hesitant to adopt new tech such as AI , Digital Twins , machine control or even something like a digital workforce management platform . These tools , as well as upskilling your workforce to use them effectively , will be key to maximising productivity and creating resilient infrastructure that ’ s made on time and within budget .”
