In response to the aftermath of the natural disaster that affected communities on the Hawaiian island of Maui last month , Restaurantware stepped in to aid relief efforts with a donation of nearly $ 20,000 worth of sustainably-crafted foodservice resources for residents and responders .

BP has started building the 187-megawatt Peacock Solar project in Texas which will provide power for a petrochemical complex and could cut over 256,000 metric tonnes of annual greenhouse gas emissions – akin to 55,000 cars . Peacock will create 300 jobs during construction and yield $ 25 million in tax revenue over 25 years .
